Reserva Rioja DOCa - Bodegas LAN

With the Bodegas LAN Rioja Reserva comes a first-class red wine in the wine glass. In this it reveals a wonderfully bright ruby color. If you hold the glass at a slight angle, a transition of the hue towards garnet red can be seen at the edges of this barrel-aged wine. To the nose, this Bodegas LAN red wine presents all sorts of blackberries, black currants, mulberries and blueberries. As if that were not already impressive, the aging in small wooden barrels adds other aromas such as dark chocolate, black tea and cocoa bean.

This wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with exceptionally low residual sugar. This is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this Spaniard naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all dryness. Aroma does not necessarily need residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this balanced red wine is wonderfully dense. The final of this red wine from the wine-growing region of La Rioja, more precisely from the Rioja DOCa, finally impresses with considerable reverberation.

Vinification of the Rioja Reserva from Bodegas LAN

The basis for the balanced Rioja Reserva from La Rioja are grapes from the grape varieties Graciano and Tempranillo. After harvesting, the grapes reach the press house by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Then fermentation takes place in small wood at controlled temperatures. The vinification is followed by a maturation of 16 months in French and American oak barrels.

Drink this red wine from Spain best tempered at 15 - 18°C as an accompanying wine to pumpkin casserole, lamb stew with chickpeas and dried figs or vegetable couscous with beef meatballs.
