More information about Ronnie Melck Shiraz - Muratie Estate

The Ronnie Melck Shiraz from Muratie Estate presents itself with an intense garnet red in the glass and seduces with its bouquet, which is characterized by berry fruits. This is joined by aromas of white and black pepper, dark chocolate and fruitcake.

On the palate, this Shiraz from South Africa is present with the impressions of plums and baked plums, mulberries and smoked meat. These notes are wrapped in silky tannins. In the background, subtle spicy nuances of oak can be perceived before this red wine ends in a long finish.

Vinification for the Ronnie Melck Shiraz from Muratie Estate

This single varietal Shiraz is vinified from grapes grown in the Stellenbosch region. After careful hand harvesting, the grapes were gently pressed and then fermented in traditional open fermenters. This Shiraz was then aged for 18 months in French and American oak barrels.
