Muratie Estate's Alberta Annemarie Merlot presents an intense ruby red color in the glass with the foreground aromas of dark chocolate, black cherries and roasted hazelnuts. Notes of herbs and black olives emerge in the background.

This South African red wine has good structure and backbone, coupled with spicy tannins.

Vinification of the Muratie Alberta Annemarie Merlot

The grapes for this Merlot were hand picked, destemmed, pressed and transferred to open fermentation vats. Following fermentation, this wine was aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.
