More information about Ansela van de Caab - Muratie Estate

The Ansela van de Caab of Muratie Estate presents itself in the glass in an intense and dark black red, unfolding its lush bouquet with the aromas of dark berries, mainly blackcurrants. These notes are rounded off by fine vanilla, tobacco and a hint of herbs.

This cuvée is present on the palate with nuances of cassis, sandalwood and olives before ending in a long fruity finish. This South African red wine from Stellenbosch is a wonderful symbiosis of fruity and spicy impressions. With its elegant tannins and fresh acidity, it is a red wine that invites you to enjoy it.

Vinification for the Ansela van de Caab from Muratie Estate

This red wine cuvée from Stellenbosch, Coastal Region, is vinified from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The grapes for this wine were all carefully harvested, pressed and fermented in classic open fermenters. The subsequent malolactic fermentation took place in French oak barrels.

After 16 months of aging in wood, the grape varieties were tasted separately and blended into a cuvée. This cuvée was then put into French oak barrels for another 6 months to achieve an ideal blending of these grape varieties.
