The Ruby Port of Niepoort is vinified from Sousão, Tinta Amarela, Tinta Cão, Tinta Francisca, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Francesa, Touriga Nacional and other red Portuguese grape varieties. 

In the glass, this port wine shimmers in a strong dark red. The bouquet reveals fresh, fruity aromas - from blackberries, blackcurrant and cherry to a subtle mineral touch. On the palate, this port has a fine balance, a very pleasant body and good extract. 

Vinification of Niepoort Ruby Port The hand-picked

grapes from the Cima Corgo region are mashed and fermented in traditional lagars. This port then matures for an average of three years in old wood fodder  in the Niepoort cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia before this port wine is bottled.
