More information about Saint Aubin AOC - Louis Jadot
The Saint Aubin matured in barrel from the Burgundy wine-growing region presents itself in the glass in a bright golden yellow. When swirling the wine glass, this white wine reveals an excellent balance, as it does not appear watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like on the glass walls. On the nose, this Louis Jadot white wine offers all kinds of papayas, guavas, physalis, pineapple and mangoes. As if that were not already impressive, further aromas such as black tea, dark chocolate and vanilla are added thanks to maturation in large wooden casks.
The Louis Jadot Saint Aubin presents itself to the wine lover wonderfully dry. This white wine never appears coarse or lean, but rather round and smooth. On the finish, this youthful white wine from the Burgundy wine-growing region finally delights with a beautiful length. Nuances of physalis and Galia melon appear once again.
Vinification of the Saint Aubin by Louis Jadot
This well-balanced white wine from France is made from the Chardonnay grape variety. The Saint Aubin is an Old World wine through and through, as this Frenchman exudes an exceptional European charm that clearly underlines the success of wines from the Old World. The ripeness of the harvested grapes for this Chardonnay wine is influenced to a very high degree by the climate of the growing region. In Burgundy, the grapes thrive in a warm climate, which is reflected, among other things, in particularly well-ripened grapes and a rather high must weight. After hand-picking, the wine grapes are brought to the winery immediately. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in large wooden casks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for several months on the fine lees before it is finally bottled.
