The powerful Saint-Joseph Vigne de l'Hospice from Domaine E. Guigal shines into the glass with a dense purple color. Holding the glass at a slight angle, a transition of the wine color towards garnet red can be seen at the edges of this barrel-aged wine. When swirling the wine glass, this red wine reveals a high density and fullness, which is evident in church windows at the edge of the glass. The bouquet of this red wine from Rhône Valley delights with hints of mulberry, blackberry, blueberry and black currant. The basis for the powerful Saint-Joseph Vigne de l'Hospice from Rhône Valley are grapes from the grape variety Syrah. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly transferred to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Then fermentation takes place in small wood at controlled temperatures. After its end, the Saint-Joseph Vigne de l'Hospice is aged for another 30 months in oak barriques.
