More information about Sauvignon Blanc - Triebaumer
The elegant Sauvignon Blanc from Triebaumer glows with a bright pale yellow in the glass. On the nose, this Triebaumer white wine offers an array of gooseberries, acacia, lemons, and mangoes. As if that weren’t impressive enough, the stainless steel fermentation adds hints of green grass and mineral notes.
The Triebaumer Sauvignon Blanc presents itself to the connoisseur as pleasantly dry. This white wine is never coarse or austere, as one might expect from a wine in the high-quality wine segment. On the palate, the texture of this well-balanced white wine is wonderfully light and crisp. Thanks to its lively fruit acidity, the Sauvignon Blanc is extraordinarily fresh and vibrant on the palate. The youthful wine from the Burgenland wine region impresses with a noteworthy length on the finish. Once again, notes of acacia and gooseberry come through. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the granite-dominated soils also add to its complexity.
Vinification of Triebaumer Sauvignon Blanc
The foundation for this balanced Austrian Sauvignon Blanc are grapes from the Sauvignon Blanc grape variety. In Burgenland, the vines that produce these grapes grow in soils composed of granite. At optimal ripeness, the grapes for this Sauvignon Blanc are harvested exclusively by hand, without the aid of strenuous and less selective machines. After manual harvest, the grapes are swiftly taken to the press house. Here, they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is succeeded by a few months of aging on fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
Food pairing recommendations for Triebaumer Sauvignon Blanc
