Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough - TWR

With the TWR Sauvignon Blanc, a first-class white wine enters the swirling glass. It presents a wonderfully bright, light yellow color. This varietal New Zealand wine reveals delightfully fragrant notes of pears, passion fruit, lemons and elderflower in the glass. Added to this are hints of minerality.

The TWR Sauvignon Blanc presents itself wonderfully dry to the wine lover. This white wine never appears coarse or austere, but rather round and smooth. On the palate, this balanced white wine is characterized by an exceptionally crisp texture. Thanks to its lively acidity, the Sauvignon Blanc appears wonderfully fresh and vibrant on the palate. On the finish, this white wine from the New Zealand South Island wine-growing region delights with considerable length. Once again, hints of lemon and passion fruit appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the gravel- and clay-dominated soils are added.

Vinification of the TWR Sauvignon Blanc

This balanced white wine from New Zealand is vinified from the Sauvignon Blanc grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions on New Zealand’s South Island. Here, the vines drive their roots deep into clay and gravel soils. At optimal ripeness, the grapes for the Sauvignon Blanc are harvested exclusively by hand, without the aid of strenuous and barely selective mechanical harvesters. After picking, the grapes are quickly brought to the press house, where they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the elegant Sauvignon Blanc is aged for a few more months in French oak barrels.

Food recommendation for TWR Sauvignon Blanc

This New Zealand white wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8–10°C. It pairs perfectly as an accompaniment to stir-fried vegetables with fish, coconut-lime fish curry, or spaghetti with yogurt-mint pesto.
