With the Weingut Paul Achs Zweigelt from Burgenland comes a first-class red wine in the swirled glass. In this it reveals a wonderfully brilliant, bright red color. The first nose of the Zweigelt from Burgenland flatters with nuances of blueberries, plums and black cherries. The fruity hints of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel aging like even more fruity-balsamic nuances.

This Austrian wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine in the high quality wine range, this Austrian naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all dryness. Taste does not necessarily need a lot of residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this light-bodied red wine is wonderfully fleshy and dense. In the finish, this red wine from the wine-growing region of Burgenland finally inspires with beautiful length. There are again hints of mulberry and black cherry. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by volcanic rock and clay are added.

Vinification of the Zweigelt from Burgenland by Weingut Paul Achs

This elegant red wine from Austria is made from the Zweigelt grape variety. In Burgenland, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of clay, sand, gravel, volcanic rock and black earth. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in large wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for 6 months in oak barriques.
