More information about Abadal Blanco - Abadal
The light-footed Abadal Blanco from the pen of Abadal flows into the glass with a brilliant light yellow. Ideally poured into a white wine glass, this Old World white wine presents wonderfully expressive aromas of papaya, mango, lime and pineapple, rounded off by further fruity nuances.
This Spanish wine delights with its elegantly dry taste profile. It was bottled with only 2.6 grams of residual sugar. This is a true quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler qualities and thus, despite all its dryness, this Spaniard enchants with the finest balance. Aroma does not necessarily need a lot of sugar. Light-footed and multi-faceted, this dense and crisp white wine presents itself on the palate. Thanks to its lively acidity, Abadal Blanco appears exceptionally fresh and vibrant on the palate. The finish of this age-worthy white wine from the Catalonia wine-growing region, more precisely from Pla de Bages DO, finally delights with a good aftertaste.
Vinification of Abadal Blanco by Abadal
This elegant white wine from Spain is made from the grape varieties Chardonnay, Macabeo, Piquepoul Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc. At optimal ripeness, the grapes for Abadal Blanco are harvested exclusively by hand, without the use of coarse and less selective mechanical harvesters. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally drawn off.
Food recommendation for Abadal Blanco by Abadal
Enjoy this white wine from Spain best well chilled at 8 - 10°C as an accompanying wine to fruity endive salad, vegetable salad with beetroot or fried trout with ginger and pear.
