Vinification of the B-52 Spätburgunder Heimersheimer Burggarten GG from Weingut Nelles

This red wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, namely Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir). Only first-class grape material was used for this wonderfully well-balanced varietal wine from Weingut Nelles. The grapes grow under optimal conditions on the Ahr. Here, the vines sink their roots deep into sandstone soils. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly brought to the press house. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. Following fermentation, the wine matures for several months on the fine lees before it is finally bottled.
