Légende R Médoc - Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite)

The Légende R Médoc from Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) is an aromatic, full-bodied and complex red wine cuvée from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. A Medoc with Rothschild aura as a fitting complement to the normal classic Legend R.

In the glass, this wine presents a deep crimson color with violet highlights. The rich bouquet enchants the nose with complex aromas of dark berries (especially blackberry and boysenberry) and spicy notes of vanilla and cinnamon - accented by subtle mineral hints.  On the palate, this French red wine is full-bodied with ripe and silky tannins that accompany into the long and spicy finish. 

Vinification of the Légende R Médoc

After harvesting the Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery of Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite). There, the berries are first fermented in stainless steel tanks. Finally, this wine is aged for 9 months in oak barrels (50%) as well as in stainless steel tanks (50%).

We recommend this dry red wine from France with oven-fresh Burgundy roast in dark sauce and hearty side dishes. This wine should be decanted for at least 1 hour before drinking.
