More information about Brut Classic - Champagne Binon-Coquard
In the glass, the Brut Classic from the Champagne wine-growing region reveals a bright light red color. The mousse of this Champagne presents itself in the glass as extremely fine, elegant and long-lasting. If you swirl it in the glass to give it some air, you can perceive an extraordinary balance in this sparkling wine, as it does not cling to the sides of the glass in a watery, syrupy or liqueur-like way. Poured into a sparkling wine glass, this Old World sparkling wine offers wonderfully refined and complex aromas of pear, peach, rhubarb and ripe apple, rounded off by mineral notes.
On the palate, this well-balanced sparkling wine is characterized by an extremely light, creamy and crisp texture. On the finish, this wine from the Champagne region finally delights with a beautiful length. Nuances of peach and ripe apple appear again. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the clay- and limestone-dominated soils join in.
Vinification of Champagne Binon-Coquard Brut Classic
The basis for the first-class and wonderfully balanced Brut Classic cuvée from Champagne Binon-Coquard is Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir grapes. In Champagne, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on clay and limestone soils. The Brut Classic is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this French wine exudes an exceptional European charm that clearly underlines the success of wines from the Old World. The fact that the Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir grapes thrive under the influence of a rather cool climate also has a considerable impact on the ripening of the fruit. This is expressed, among other things, in particularly long and evenly ripened grapes and a rather moderate alcohol content in the wine. After harvesting, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by the fermentation of the base wines.
