More information about Cabernet Sauvignon - Somerbosch
In the glass, the Cabernet Sauvignon from the hands of Somerbosch shows a bright purple-red color. This single-varietal South African wine presents wonderfully complex notes of blackberry, blueberry, plum and currant in the glass. Added to these are hints of blackcurrant, forest floor and toasted wood.
On the palate, the Cabernet Sauvignon from Somerbosch opens pleasantly dry, gripping and aromatic. On the tongue, this well-balanced red wine is characterized by an immensely dense and powerful texture. The finish of this red wine from the Western Cape wine-growing region, more precisely from Stellenbosch, ultimately impresses with a beautiful aftertaste.
Vinification of the Somerbosch Cabernet Sauvignon
The basis for the balanced Cabernet Sauvignon from South Africa is grapes from the Cabernet Sauvignon variety. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by maturation for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
Food recommendation for the Somerbosch Cabernet Sauvignon
