Cabernet Sauvignon - Zevenwacht

The Cabernet Sauvignon from the hand of Zevenwacht from the Western Cape presents a dense, purple-red color in the glass. At the rims there is also a color transition into garnet red. With some time in the glass, this red wine from South Africa offers wonderfully expressive aromas of blackberry, rounded off by tobacco, blackcurrant and toasted wood.

The Zevenwacht Cabernet Sauvignon impresses with its elegantly dry taste profile. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. As one would expect from a wine in the high-quality segment, this South African, despite all its dryness, delights with the finest balance. Excellent flavor does not necessarily require a lot of sugar. On the palate, this powerful red wine is characterized by an incredibly velvety texture. The finish of this matured red wine from the Western Cape region, more precisely from Stellenbosch, ultimately convinces with a beautiful aftertaste.

Vinification of the Cabernet Sauvignon from Zevenwacht

This wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, namely Cabernet Sauvignon. Only the best grapes were used for this exceptionally powerful varietal wine from Zevenwacht. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are brought to the winery as quickly as possible. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the Cabernet Sauvignon can continue to harmonize for several months on the fine lees.
