More information about Chardonnay - Herpe Paul

The Chardonnay from Herpe Paul from Languedoc-Roussillon reveals a bright, golden-yellow color in the wine glass. The nose of this white wine from Languedoc-Roussillon seduces with hints of acacia. It is precisely its fruit-driven character that makes this wine so special.

The Herpe Paul Chardonnay presents itself to the wine drinker pleasantly dry. This white wine never appears coarse or austere, but rather round and smooth. Balanced and complex, this creamy and silky white wine presents itself on the palate. The finish of this white wine from the Languedoc-Roussillon wine-growing region ultimately delights with a beautiful aftertaste. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets from the limestone-dominated soils.

Vinification of the Herpe Paul Chardonnay

The balanced Chardonnay from France is a varietal wine made from the Chardonnay grape. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Languedoc-Roussillon. Here, the vines drive their roots deep into limestone soils. After the harvest, the grapes are immediately brought to the press house. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is matured for several months on the fine lees before it is finally bottled.

Food recommendation for the Herpe Paul Chardonnay

This French white wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8–10°C. It pairs perfectly as an accompanying wine with fried trout with ginger and pear, fruity endive salad, or spaghetti with yogurt and mint pesto.
