Circle of Life Red - Waterkloof

The barrel-aged Circle of Life Red from the Coastal Region viticultural region reveals itself in the glass in bright purple, ruby red. To the nose, this Waterkloof red wine reveals all manner of blackberries, mulberries, black currants and blueberries. As if that wasn't already impressive, the aging in small wooden barrels adds other aromas such as juniper, lovage and green peppers.

The Waterkloof Circle of Life Red delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with 3.4 grams of residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine in the high quality wine range, this South African naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all dryness. Aroma does not necessarily require a lot of residual sugar. Balanced and multifaceted, this dense red wine presents itself on the palate. Due to the balanced fruit acidity, the Circle of Life Red flatters with a soft mouthfeel, without lacking freshness at the same time. In the finish, this youthful from the Coastal Region winegrowing region finally inspires with considerable length. Again, hints of black currant and mulberry are evident.

Vinification of the Circle of Life Red from Waterkloof

The basis for the balanced Circle of Life Red from Coastal Region are grapes from the grape varieties Merlot, Petit Verdot and Syrah. After the grape harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Then fermentation takes place in small wood at controlled temperatures. After the completion of fermentation, the Circle of Life Red is aged for several months in oak barrels.
