Vinification of the Care Family Vineyards Crianza 1.5 l Magnum

This powerful red wine from Spain is vinified from the Merlot and Tempranillo grape varieties. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Aragon. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of limestone, shale and gravel. When they are perfectly ripe, the grapes for the Crianza 1.5 l Magnum are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective machines. After the harvest, the grapes are taken to the press house in the fastest way possible. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in large wood at controlled temperatures. The vinification is followed by a maturation of 12 months in American oak barrels.

This Spanish red wine is best enjoyed tempered at 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to cabbage roulades, cod with cucumber-mustard vegetables or pasta with sausage dumplings.
