Vinification of Care Family Vineyards Crianza 1.5 l Magnum

This powerful red wine from Spain is vinified from the Merlot and Tempranillo grape varieties. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Aragon. Here, the vines drive their roots deep into soils of limestone, slate and gravel. When perfectly ripe, the grapes for the Crianza 1.5 l Magnum are harvested exclusively by hand, without the use of coarse and less selective machinery. After the harvest, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There they are selected and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in large wooden vats at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by 12 months of aging in American oak barrels.
