The elegant Crianza Rioja from Castroviejo shimmers in the glass with bright purple. The first nose of the Crianza Rioja presents notes of plums, prunes and blackberries. The fruity aspects of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel aging such as cinnamon, vanilla and oak.
The Castroviejo Crianza Rioja delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with only 1.6 grams of residual sugar. This is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this Spaniard enchants naturally with all dryness with the finest balance. Aroma does not necessarily need residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this balanced red wine is wonderfully fleshy and dense. Due to the balanced fruit acidity, the Crianza Rioja flatters with a soft palate feeling, without lacking juicy liveliness. In the finish, this red wine from the wine-growing region of La Rioja finally thrills with considerable length. There are again hints of black cherry and plum.
Vinification of the Castroviejo Crianza Rioja
This balanced red wine from Spain is cuvetted from the grape varieties Garnacha, Graciano and Tempranillo. The grapes for this red wine from Spain are harvested, at the time of optimal maturity, exclusively by hand. After the hand harvest, the grapes immediately reach the winery. Here they are selected and carefully ground. Then fermentation takes place in small wood at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the Crianza Rioja is aged for 14 months in oak barrels.
