In the first round, all wines are tasted blind and evaluated in various facets, such as taste, color and character. The result is reflected in points that finally decide which and if a medal is due.
The second round calls the 4 Co-Chairs to the scene. Together with the Regional Chairs, experts from the respective regions, all gold winners are tasted again. The best wines are awarded the Platinum Medal.
The final will bring together all the Platinum winners once again. The 4 Co-Chairs will decide on the best of the best in each category during a final tasting. These wines may crown themselves with the prestigious title of Best in Show - an indication of the very highest quality.
