Vinification of Vidigal Wines Douro
This balanced red wine from Portugal is vinified from the grape varieties Tempranillo, Tinta Barroca, Touriga Franca, and Touriga Nacional. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly brought to the winery. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for several months on the fine lees before it is finally bottled.
