Vinification of Winzer Krems Edition Chremisa Blauer Zweigelt

The basis for the balanced Edition Chremisa Blauer Zweigelt from Austria is grapes from the Zweigelt variety. In Lower Austria, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on clay and loess soils. The wine berries for this red wine from Austria are harvested exclusively by hand when they are perfectly ripe. After the grape harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the winery. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in large wooden casks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine matures for several months in large oak barrels.

Food recommendation for the Edition Chremisa Blauer Zweigelt from Winzer Krems

Enjoy this red wine from Austria ideally tempered at 15 - 18°C as an accompanying wine to pasta with grilled sausage dumplings, chickpea curry, or spaghetti with caper-tomato sauce.
