More information about Eichkogel Burgenland - Kollwentz

Kollwentz's Eichkogel Burgenland from Burgenland shows a bright, crimson color in the wine glass. Held at a slight angle, a transition of hue toward garnet red is evident at the edges of this barrel-aged wine. When swirling the glass, one can perceive a perfect balance in this red wine, as it does not stand out watery or syrupy or liqueur-like on the walls of the glass. Poured into a red wine glass, this red wine from Austria presents wonderfully expressive aromas of morello cherry, blueberry, mulberry and blackberry, rounded out by vanilla, cinnamon and black tea contributed by aging in wooden barrels.

The Kollwentz Eichkogel Burgenland presents itself to the wine lover pleasantly dry. This red wine never shows itself coarse or meager, but round and smooth. On the palate, the texture of this balanced red wine is wonderfully fleshy and dense. The finale of this red wine from the Burgenland wine region, which is capable of aging, finally captivates with a beautiful reverberation.

Vinification of the Eichkogel Burgenland from Kollwentz

This balanced red wine from Austria is made from the grape varieties Blaufränkisch and Zweigelt. After harvesting, the grapes reach the winery by the fastest route.
