The barrel-aged Blaufränkisch Creitzer Reserve from the wine-growing region of Burgenland reveals itself in the glass in dense purple. Swiveling the glass, this red wine reveals a high viscosity, which shows in church windows at the edge of the glass. This single varietal Austrian wine presents wonderfully expressive notes of wild berry jam, mulberries, grapefruit and black cherries in the glass. The basis for the powerful Blaufränkisch Creitzer Reserve from Burgenland are grapes from the grape variety Blaufränkisch. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. This is followed by fermentation in small wood at controlled temperatures. After the completion of fermentation, the Blaufränkisch Creitzer Reserve is aged for another 17 months in oak barrels.
