In the glass, this red wine from Lionel Osmin offers aromas of blackcurrants, blackberries, blueberries and mulberries, complemented by oriental spices, garrigue and vanilla. On the palate, Lionel Osmin’s El Chocolatero opens wonderfully aromatic, fruit-driven and balanced. Powerful and multi-faceted, this dense red wine presents itself on the palate. Thanks to the well-balanced acidity, El Chocolatero flatters the palate with a velvety mouthfeel without lacking freshness. On the finish, this youthful wine from the Aragon wine-growing region finally delights with a beautiful length. Once again, nuances of mulberry and blueberry appear.
Vinification of Lionel Osmin El Chocolatero
The basis for the powerful El Chocolatero from Aragon is grapes from the Cabernet Sauvignon, Garnacha, Syrah and Tempranillo varieties. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly brought to the press house. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, El Chocolatero can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for several months.
