Vinification of the Esplendor Vardon Kennett Penedès by Miguel Torres
The starting point for the premium and wonderfully elegant cuvée Esplendor Vardon Kennett Penedès by Miguel Torres are Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Xarel-lo grapes. The grapes grow in optimal conditions in Catalonia. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of limestone. Esplendor Vardon Kennett Penedès is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Spaniard exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. The grapes for this sparkling wine from Spain, when perfectly ripe, are harvested exclusively by hand. Following the harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and gently pressed. Now follows the fermentation of the base wines. After the assemblage of the cuvée follows the further aging based on the classic bottle fermentation. This is followed by bottle aging for 30 months.
