More information about GB Rouge Spätburgunder - Georg Breuer

In the glass, the GB Rouge Pinot Noir from the house of Georg Breuer presents a brilliant shimmering light red color. The first nose of the GB Rouge Pinot Noir presents of plums, morello cherries and mulberries. The fruity hints of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel aging such as black tea, cocoa bean and brown bread.

The GB Rouge Pinot Noir from Georg Breuer is a good choice for all connoisseurs who like it dry. However, it never appears sparse or brittle, but round and smooth. On the tongue, this light-footed red wine is characterized by a tremendously fleshy and silky texture. With its incisive fruit acidity, the GB Rouge Pinot Noir is wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this storable red wine from the wine-growing region of the Rheingau finally inspires with beautiful length. Once again, hints of plum and blueberry show. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by slate and clay are added.

Vinification of the GB Rouge Pinot Noir by Georg Breuer

The basis for the elegant GB Rouge Pinot Noir from the Rheingau are grapes from the grape variety Pinot Noir. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Rheingau. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of clay and slate. After the grape harvest, the grapes are quickly transported to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in large wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by maturation for 8 months in oak barrels.
