More information about Grauburgunder trocken - Weingut Manz

The Pinot Gris from the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen reveals itself in the glass in brilliantly shimmering copper gold. This single-varietal German wine presents wonderfully expressive notes of nashi pear, mangoes, star fruit and physalis in the glass. These are joined by hints of forest floor and sun-warmed rock.

The Weingut Manz Pinot Gris presents itself wonderfully dry to the wine lover. This white wine is never coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine in the upper price range. Light-footed and complex, this creamy white wine presents itself on the palate. Due to the balanced fruit acidity, the Pinot Gris flatters the palate with a velvety feel, without lacking freshness at the same time. In the finish, this youthful from the winegrowing region of Rheinhessen finally inspires with good length. There are again hints of Gallia melon and physalis. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by clay and marl join in.

Vinification of the Pinot Gris from Manz Winery

This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, Pinot Gris. For this exceptionally elegant varietal wine from Weingut Manz, only first-class grapes were harvested. In Rheinhessen, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of clay and marl. After harvesting, the grapes reach the winery by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the Pinot Gris can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months....

Food recommendation for the winery Manz Pinot Gris

This German wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to onion tart with thyme, vegetable salad with beetroot or red onion stuffed with couscous and apricots.
