Vinification of the Kremser Wachtberg Grüner Veltliner DAC Reserve by Winzer Krems
This well-balanced white wine from Austria is vinified from the Grüner Veltliner grape variety. In Lower Austria, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on loess soils. The berries for this Austrian white wine are harvested exclusively by hand once optimal ripeness has been ensured. After the grape harvest, the grapes are brought to the winery without delay. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by several months of aging on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
