The balanced Les Caillottes Rosé Sancerre from France is a single-varietal wine, pressed from the Pinot Noir grape variety. In the Val de Loire, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of limestone, clay and marl. Les Caillottes Rosé Sancerre is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Frenchman breathes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. The fact that the Pinot Noir grapes thrive under the influence of a rather cool climate also has an influence on the development of the vintage that cannot be dismissed. This manifests itself, among other things, in particularly long and uniform grapes and rather moderate alcohol content in the wine. The berries for this rosé wine from France are harvested exclusively by hand when they are perfectly ripe. After harvesting, the grapes immediately reach the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn into bottles.
