The light-footed Weingut Hammel Literweise Rosé presents an incredibly fruity taste on the palate, which is due not least to its off-dry flavor profile. On the tongue, this light-footed rosé wine is characterized by an immensely powerful texture. Thanks to its lively acidity, the Literweise Rosé appears wonderfully fresh and vibrant on the palate. On the finish, this wine from the Pfalz winegrowing region delights with good length. Nuances of elderberry and raspberry once again become apparent. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the loess and clay-dominated soils also join in.
Vinification of Weingut Hammel Literweise Rosé
The elegant Literweise Rosé from Germany is a cuvée made from the Dornfelder and Pinot Noir grape varieties. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Pfalz. Here, the vines sink their roots deep into soils of clay and loess. After harvesting, the grapes are brought to the press house without delay. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by several months of aging on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn off.
