Luces Tinto DO - Viñas del Vero

Luces Tinto from Viñas del Vero in Aragon presents a bright ruby color in the glass. This Spanish cuvée shows wonderfully expressive notes of morello cherry, plum, black currant and plum in the glass. These are joined by hints of vanilla, toasted barrique and dark chocolate.

On the palate, Viñas del Vero's Luces Tinto opens delightfully dry, grippy and aromatic. On the tongue, this well-balanced red wine is characterized by an immensely velvety texture. Due to its concise fruit acidity, the Luces Tinto is fantastically fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this youthful red wine from the wine-growing region of Aragon finally inspires with considerable length. There are again hints of blackberry and plum. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by clay and sand are added.

Vinification of the Viñas del Vero Luces Tinto

The balanced Luces Tinto from Spain is a cuvée, pressed from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Tempranillo. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Aragon. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of loam, sand and clay. After the hand harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Then fermentation takes place in small wood at controlled temperatures. After the completion of fermentation, the Luces Tinto is aged for another 4 months in American oak barrels.

Food recommendation for the Viñas del Vero Luces Tinto

This red wine from Spain is best enjoyed at a temperate 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to Thai cucumber salad, baked feta cheese parcels or arugula penne.
