More information about R Spätburgunder trocken - Ökonomierat Rebholz
The R Pinot Noir matured in barrel from the wine-growing region of the Pfalz reveals itself in the glass in a bright light red. After the first swirl, one can perceive a perfect balance in this red wine, as it does not appear watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like on the glass walls. With a little time in the glass, this Old World red wine reveals wonderfully expressive aromas of sour cherry, rounded off by further fruity nuances contributed by maturation in wooden barrels.
This German wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor profile. It was bottled with only 0.4 grams of residual sugar. This is a genuine quality wine that clearly sets itself apart from simpler qualities and thus, despite all its dryness, this German wine enchants with the finest balance. Flavor does not necessarily need a lot of sugar. Balanced and multi-faceted, this powerful red wine presents itself on the palate. Thanks to the well-balanced acidity, the R Pinot Noir caresses the palate with a pleasing sensation, without sacrificing freshness at the same time. The finish of this youthful red wine from the wine-growing region of the Pfalz is ultimately impressive with a remarkable length. The aftertaste is also accompanied by mineral hints from the limestone-dominated soils.
Vinification of the R Pinot Noir from Ökonomierat Rebholz
This balanced red wine from Germany is organically vinified from the Pinot Noir grape variety. In the Pfalz, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on limestone soils. The R Pinot Noir is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this German wine exudes an exceptional European charm that clearly underscores the success of wines from the Old World. After hand-harvesting, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by 19 months of aging in barriques made of French oak.
