Vinification of the Riesling Grand Cru Saering Alsace Grand Cru from Domaines Schlumberger
This white wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Riesling. For this exceptionally powerful varietal wine from Domaines Schlumberger, only first-class grapes were harvested. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Alsace. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of limestone, sandstone and marl. When perfectly ripe, the grapes for the Riesling Grand Cru Saering Alsace Grand Cru are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective machines. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly transferred to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the Riesling Grand Cru Saering Alsace Grand Cru can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for 8 months....
