Vinification of Bründlmayer Riesling Kamptal Terrassen

This elegant white wine from Austria is made from the Riesling grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Lower Austria. Here, the vines sink their roots deep into soils of clay, loess, sandstone and volcanic rock. When perfectly ripe, the grapes for Riesling Kamptal Terrassen are harvested exclusively by hand, without the use of rough, low-selective mechanical harvesters. After harvesting, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for several months on the fine lees before finally being bottled.
