More information about Rioja - Diego Magana

With the Diego Magana Rioja, a first-class white wine finds its way into the well-polished wine glass. It displays a wonderfully bright, pale yellow color. Poured into a white wine glass, this Old World white wine offers delightfully youthful and complex aromas of mango, acacia and pineapple, rounded off by mint/melissa.

On the palate, Diego Magana’s Rioja opens wonderfully dry, firm and aromatic. On the palate, the texture of this well-balanced white wine is delightfully light and silky. The finish of this white wine from the Catalonia wine region, more precisely from Terra Alta DO, ultimately delights with a beautiful aftertaste. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes from the clay- and limestone-dominated soils.

Vinification of the Rioja by Diego Magana

This white wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, namely Grenache Blanc. Only the best grapes were used for this exceptionally well-balanced varietal wine from Diego Magana. In Catalonia, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on clay and limestone soils. After the harvest, the grapes are taken to the press house without delay. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the Rioja can continue to harmonize for several months on the fine lees.

Food recommendation for Diego Magana Rioja

This white wine from Spain is best enjoyed well chilled at 8–10°C. It pairs perfectly as an accompanying wine with cod served with cucumber-mustard vegetables, vegetable salad with beetroot, or spaghetti with yogurt-mint pesto.
