Rosé Cuvée - Salzl Seewinkelhof

The rosé cuvée from the wine-growing region the Burgenland presents itself in the glass in bright strawberry pink. To the nose, this Salzl Seewinkelhof rosé wine presents all sorts of grapefruits, limes, pomelo, grapefruit and kumquats. As if that weren't already impressive, the stainless steel aging adds more aromas like green peppers, sun-warmed rocks and lovage.

This wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with 2.6 grams of residual sugar. As you would naturally expect from a wine in the upper price range, this Austrian naturally enraptures with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Aroma does not necessarily need a lot of sugar. On the tongue, this balanced rosé wine is characterized by an incredibly light and crisp texture. Due to the moderate fruit acidity, the Rosé Cuvée flatters with a velvety palate feeling, without lacking juicy liveliness. The final of this youthful rosé wine from the wine-growing region the Burgenland, more precisely from Lake Neusiedl, finally thrilled with good reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes of the soils dominated by clay and sand.

Vinification of the Rosé Cuvée from Salzl Seewinkelhof

This balanced rosé wine from Austria is made from the grape varieties Blaufränkisch, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Zweigelt. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Burgenland. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of clay, sand, gravel, volcanic rock and black earth. After the hand harvest, the grapes arrive quickly at the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.

Food recommendation for the Rosé Cuvée from Salzl Seewinkelhof

This Austrian rosé wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to potato pan with salmon, asparagus salad with quinoa or wok vegetables with fish.
