Rótulo Branco Dao DOC - Niepoort

Niepoort's Rótulo Branco is a lively, balanced white wine cuvée made from the Borrado das Moscas, Cerceal, Encruzado and Rabo de Ovelha grape varieties. 

In the glass, this wine shines in a delicate straw yellow with sparkling highlights. The fruity bouquet is somewhat restrained at first and gradually develops fine aromas of pears, yellow stone fruit and floral nuances of white flowers. Very full-bodied with a round body, this Portuguese white wine presents itself on the palate. In addition to the lively acidity, notes of fresh citrus fruits join in. The finish is wonderfully present and is accompanied by subtle hints of herbs. 

Vinification of the Niepoort Dao Rótulo Branco Quinta da Lomba

In the Portuguese wine region DOC Dão grow grapes for this white wine on granitic soils. 

After the grapes have been carefully harvested by hand, they are immediately taken to the Quinta da Lomba winery, where they undergo a traditional temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks. After the fermentation process is completed, this wine remains in cement tanks for 12 months. 

Food recommendation for the Niepoort Dao Rótulo Branco

This dry white wine from Portugal is an excellent companion to fresh fish - steamed, fried or boiled - chicken breast with crisp salad or even to various hard cheeses.
