More information about Rouge - Domaine Montrose

With Domaine Montrose Rouge, a first-class red wine finds its way into the glass. It reveals a wonderfully bright, purple-red color. This French cuvée displays delightfully expressive notes of morello cherries, plums, damsons, and black cherries in the glass. Added to this are nuances of black tea, gingerbread spice, and vanilla.

Domaine Montrose Rouge delights with its elegantly dry taste profile. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. As one would naturally expect from a wine in the premium entry-level segment, this French red, despite all its dryness, enchants with the finest balance. Excellent flavor simply does not necessarily require residual sugar. The finish of this youthful red wine from the Sud-Ouest winegrowing region ultimately impresses with a lovely aftertaste.

Vinification of Rouge from Domaine Montrose

The well-balanced Rouge from France is a cuvée vinified from the grape varieties Grenache, Merlot, and Syrah. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly brought to the winery. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by maturation for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.

Food recommendation for the Rouge from Domaine Montrose

Enjoy this red wine from France best at a temperature of 15–18°C as an accompaniment to ossobuco, lamb ragout with chickpeas and dried figs, or goose breast with ginger red cabbage and marjoram.
