Vinification of the RWT Shiraz by Penfolds

This powerful red wine from Australia is vinified from the Shiraz grape variety. After the grape harvest, the grapes are promptly taken to the winery. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small and large oak barrels at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the powerful RWT Shiraz is aged for another 12 months in French oak barrels. The maturation in wooden casks is followed by extensive bottle aging, which makes this red wine even more complex.

Food recommendation for the RWT Shiraz by Penfolds

This Australian should ideally be enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It is a perfect companion to lemon-chili chicken with bulgur, stuffed bell peppers or duck breast with sugar snap peas.
