More information about The Struie Shiraz - Torbreck

The The Struie Shiraz from Torbreck is a single-varietal red wine - the name comes from a hill behind the Glenmorangie Distillery in Scotland.

In the glass, this Australian wine presents a lush ruby red with purple highlights. The bouquet reveals wonderful notes of blackcurrants, black cherries and prunes. Underlying the aromas of the nose are hints of black olives and freshly ground pepper. On the palate, this red wine is ripe, round and perfectly balanced. The powerful texture is encased by a firm tannin framework. The finish awaits with an unforgettable length and nuances of mocha and some smoke.

Vinification of the Torbreck The Struie

The Shiraz grapes for this red wine are carefully harvested and carefully selected in the winery. The mash is then fermented in stainless steel tanks. The 20-month aging in French oak barrels provides the balanced, round character and the spicy hints.

Food recommendation for the The Struie Shiraz from Torbreck

Enjoy this dry red wine from Australia with braised beef with potato dumplings and red cabbage, lamb steak in red wine sauce or with sausage and cheese specialties.
