More information

Schug Winery's  Pinot Noir Estate Grown is one of Schug's Heritage Reserve wines - only vintage wines with exceptional complexity and very long shelf life are included.

In the glass, this pure red wine presents itself in a dense purple with violet reflections. The intense bouquet exudes strong aromas of ripe cherries, rose petals and some cherry liqueur. The palate is pampered by expressive notes of black cherries and cranberry, underlined by hints of lavender and some spice and tobacco. The body of this red wine convinces with a complex structure and perfectly integrated tannins. The finale is wonderfully balanced, round and unforgettable long.

Vinification of Schug Pinot Noir Estate Grown

After the very careful hand-picking of the Pinot Noir grape, these are immediately taken to the winery. There, the harvested material is strictly selected and only the best grapes are used for this red wine. The mash is then fermented in a stainless steel tank. For the wonderful nuances of spice and tobacco and the perfect tannin structure, the expansion in the wood ensures. This wine is made exclusively in the best French oak barriques. Wood removal takes at least 16 months.
