In the glass, the Terroir Series Torrontes from Viña Kaiken presents a brilliant shimmering pale yellow color. This single varietal Argentine wine reveals wonderfully expressive notes of jasmine, grapefruit, grapefruit and lime in the glass. These are joined by hints of other fruits.

This wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. This is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this Argentinean enchants naturally with all dryness with the finest balance. Excellent taste does not necessarily need a lot of residual sugar. Light-footed and multilayered, this crisp white wine presents itself on the palate. The final of this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of Salta, more precisely from Cafayate, finally convinces with considerable reverberation.

Vinification of the Terroir Series Torrontes from Viña Kaiken

This white wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Torrontés. For this exceptionally elegant single varietal wine from Viña Kaiken, only immaculate grapes were harvested. At the time of optimal ripeness, the grapes for the Terroir Series Torrontes are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective machines. After the harvest, the grapes arrive at the winery by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully milled. Then fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the completion of fermentation, the Terroir Series Torrontes can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for 6 months....

Food recommendation for the Viña Kaiken Terroir Series Torrontes

This Argentinean is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to spicy chestnut soup, Japanese-style fillet of turbot with vegetable julienne or roasted trout with ginger pear.
