Torrontes Salta - Alamos

The Torrontes from Alamos is a varietally pure, aromatic and crisp-fresh white wine from the Argentine wine-growing region of Salta. 

In the glass, this wine shines in a bright, clear straw yellow with sparkling reflections. The nose enjoys an explosive firework of aromas. Intense aromas of juicy peaches, sun-ripened citrus fruits, floral notes of jasmine blossoms and a varietal hint of fresh herbs are revealed. On the palate, this Argentine white wine convinces with a crisp texture that harmonizes wonderfully with the aromas of the nose. The balanced acidity is very well integrated into the fresh body and accompanies into the pleasantly long finish. 

Vinification of the Alamos Torrontes

The Torrontes grapes for this wine are harvested by hand. The grapes are immediately taken to the Alamos winery where they are gently pressed. After pressing, the must is cold settled and bottled fresh from the press. The fermentation process then begins at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. Aging also takes place in stainless steel tanks. 

Food recommendation for the Torrontes Alamos

This dry white wine from Argentina is an excellent companion to fresh seafood, grilled fish in lemon sauce or even light pasta dishes in creamy sauce.
