Vinification of the Alamos Chardonnay
The grapes for this single-varietal Chardonnay come from vineyards located at altitudes between 900 and 1500 meters above sea level. There they are manually selected and harvested in two passes.
After the harvest and gentle pressing of the berries, alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks. 70% of this white wine undergoes malolactic fermentation. French and American oak barrels are used for aging for 6 to 9 months. This white wine is aged under prolonged lees contact and regular batonnage.
