Vinification of the KWV The Mentors Petit Verdot

The powerful The Mentors Petit Verdot from South Africa is a single-varietal wine, pressed from the Petit Verdot grape variety. In the Western Cape, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of granite. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Then fermentation takes place in small wood at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, The Mentors Petit Verdot is aged for another 18 months in French oak barrels.
