More information about Three Pines Cabernet Sauvignon - Stark Condé

In the glass, the Three Pines Cabernet Sauvignon from Stark Condé presents a dense ruby-red color. At the rim, this South African red also shows a transition to garnet red. When the wine glass is swirled, this red wine reveals high viscosity, which is reflected in pronounced church windows on the glass. The bouquet of this red wine from the Western Cape seduces with notes of violets and blackcurrant. Following the aromas further, black cherry appears, enhanced by the influence of oak.

The Three Pines Cabernet Sauvignon from Stark Condé is ideal for all wine lovers who prefer as little residual sugar in their wine as possible. At the same time, it never appears meager or austere, but rather round and smooth. Powerful and complex, this silky red wine presents itself on the palate. Thanks to its pronounced acidity, the Three Pines Cabernet Sauvignon appears wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. On the finish, this matured red wine from the Western Cape wine-growing region delights with considerable length. Again there are hints of violets and blackcurrant. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the clay- and granite-dominated soils join in.

Vinification of the Three Pines Cabernet Sauvignon from Stark Condé

The basis for the powerful Three Pines Cabernet Sauvignon from South Africa is grapes from the Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot varieties. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Western Cape. Here, the vines sink their roots deep into soils of granite and clay. After the harvest, the grapes are brought to the press house without delay. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the powerful Three Pines Cabernet Sauvignon is aged for another 22 months in French oak barrels.
