Tokara Shiraz is a South African red wine made from Shiraz.
In the glass shows a wonderful crimson color with ruby highlights. The nose enjoys aromas of ripe blackberry, juicy mulberry and spices. This fragrance is underpinned by floral hints and a touch of fynbos as well as herbs. The palate presents ripe red and black berry fruit with hints of black pepper. The tannins are firm and lead elegantly into the long lasting finish.
Vinification of the Tokara Shiraz
The alcoholic fermentation of this red wine takes place in both open and closed fermentation tanks. The mash is regularly pumped over and submerged during the fermentation process. Finally, this wine is aged for 10 months in French oak barriques.
