More information about Juegabolos - Bodegas Valderiz

The Juegabolos from Bodegas Valderiz from Castile and León reveals a dense, ruby-red color in the swirled glass. This varietal Spanish wine displays wonderfully complex notes of mulberries, blackberries, rose perfume and lilacs in the glass. Added to this are nuances of dark chocolate, gingerbread spice and cocoa bean.

This Spanish wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor profile. It was bottled with only 2.1 grams of residual sugar. As you would naturally expect from a wine, this Spaniard, despite all its dryness, enchants with the finest balance. Excellent flavor does not necessarily require sugar. Powerful and complex, this dense and meaty red wine presents itself on the palate. Thanks to its lively acidity, Juegabolos reveals itself on the palate as wonderfully fresh and vibrant. On the finish, this highly age-worthy red wine from the Castile and León wine-growing region finally impresses with considerable length. Once again, nuances of lavender and violets appear.

Vinification of Juegabolos by Bodegas Valderiz

The powerful Juegabolos from Spain is a varietal wine made from the Tempranillo grape variety. At optimal ripeness, the grapes for Juegabolos are harvested exclusively by hand, without the use of coarse and less selective mechanical harvesters. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for 24 months in French oak barrels.

Food recommendation for Bodegas Valderiz Juegabolos

Enjoy this red wine from Spain ideally served at 15–18°C as a companion to cod with cucumber-mustard vegetables, leek soup or pumpkin casserole.
